  • Audio description has length constrain

  • Audio description vs narration:

  • Narration is only about action (But netflex emphasis on action?)

  • Audio description is more similar to Stage direction or Screen display

  • Word that is used is also important:

  • a plain description or rythemed

  • Translation part of and art

  • Two App to check out:

  • live describe

  • You describe:

  • pause between interval of dialogue

  • Regular interval, neot good but better than nothing

  • Different: still debated, there are different opinions from different scholars

  • Different people (users) also have different preference

  • Some want specific information, some want character, some want environment, some want actions

  • Netflex and Amazon prime have services:

  • Get the public feed back from netflex and amazon services?

  • Some people complain about the description publicly, use their feedbacks

  • Think about the Director's perspective:

  • What are the points directors want to express?

  • What about casual videos?

  • Really hard and super sensitive topic (not technically):

  • Some scholars urge people with eye sight problem should get the same enjoyment with normal people

  • Some scholars set a Much lower bar, saying that having is much better than nothing, totally different approaches.
